Bxstereomaker will do the job. It creates a virtual S signal with analog style filters using advanced digital science. You can solo this virtual S signal! Bxstereomaker will enhance any mono signal to stereo, while allowing you to balance the center of the stereo signal and paying attention to the frequency range of your signal. An important thing to appreciate about bxstereomaker is that it only works on mono signals, so even if you feed it a stereo sound, it'll mono the input signal by summing the left and right channels. Our first port of call for testing is an electric bass. Bxstereomaker works really well on this sort of sound, applying a lovely thickening effect when lower frequency Tone settings are used. Brainworx bxstereomaker is a very unique plugin that takes a mono ('mid') track and creates a stereo image, through a digitally simulated 'side' signal. The main control is labeled Tone, and it chooses the 'slicing frequency interval', according to the manual. In practice, this makes for a drastically different sound depending on where it is set.
Aug 15, 2012 The bxstereomaker is designed to make stereo signals out of mono ones. According to the boffins at Brainworx it creates a virtual stereo signal by using analogue-style filters. This then enables you to solo this virtual stereo signal and tweak it. Bxstereomaker can help. Bxstereomaker creates a virtual S signal with analog style filters using Brainworx legendary M/S stereo algorithms. This plugin will take any mono signal and make it stereo while allowing you to balance the center position. You can even focus the process on specific frequency ranges in your signal.
Great stereo effect with remarkable mono compability
Out of all the effects for making stereo from mono tracks I have in my plugin folder, this one has the very best mono compability while being able to make the stereo field really wide.Stereomaker
Really useful and easy to use plugin that does exactly what it is supposed to do.bx_stereomaker

I'm writing this review to answer the question: Why should I spend $99 on this when I can get Wider for free? Wider pings the panning position of the signal with each note very obnoxiously. While I still visually notice just a bit of gradual sway between left and right peak levels when I push the widening knob far, it's not jarring at all to the ear. You get a little bit of analogue style coloration when you apply this plugin but in all cases so far, it only improves the tonality. If you have orchestral libraries, this plugin is a must because the vast majority of them have phasing and mono-compatibility issues. Narrow the stereo field as much as necessary with free Ozone Imager, then widen it back up with impunity with this plugin. Until VST library makers make proper mic positioning a priority, this will be your go-to plug in.Thanks a lot and enjoy your new tool!bx_stereomaker
There are many good mono to Stereo Plugins out there, but nothing feels like bx_stereomaker, because you can really make a mono source come to populate the stereofield in a unique & lively way, and stay in phase! Use it a ton!Depth and dimension
VERY interesting tool for almost any meldodic element like guitar, synth, even vocals, if you use it wisely and not overdo it. I am just a recording hobby musician, no pro, but, man, this thing is powerful and adds dimension and depth, a very special thickness, something I cannot think of how to achieve another way. Maybe a pro can, but on the other hand, witch this little army knife it is just a few clicks with tremendous effect. Recommended! Thanks!BX Stereomaker
It is briljant. It changes a mono signal to a full, living stereo sound.
You will absolutely purchase this plug-in after 30 seconds of demoing. Great results can be achieved with only a few mouse clicks.
Old fashioned, boring mono samples are over now.Interesting placement
Excellent for synths and sample based instruments which are sometimes difficult to place in a mix. Very easy to use and very easy to hear the magic it does!Use it carefully!
Another great kind of M/S stereo field manipulation processor, much in the vein of the ShredSpread.
Can make most mono material sound immediately more interesting.
Just use it sparingly so you don't get into trouble.
A word of advice: when you think you got it just right, pull it down a notch or two. You'll thank me later...We approve your advice for sure!bx_stereomaker
Trying to get a little more depth into recordings of a newsreader, this plugin saved the day. It made everything fit perfectly together after 20 seconds of adjusting. You only know that you needed it, when you try it.

Great stereo effect with remarkable mono…

Overview
Creating a Virtual S Channel!
The bx_stereomaker is a frequency-optimized M/S upmixing plugin that converts ANY mono signal to stereo, while keeping them 100% mono-compatible!
How many times have you had to deal with a signal that just won't fit in the mix because it's mono? But with modern mixes becoming both tighter and wider, adding reverb or modulation effects can easily destroy the tight center of a mono lead vocal, guitar, or synth track. Still, you need to process and spread those sounds to lay them perfectly into the mix.
bx_stereomaker can help.
bx_stereomaker creates a virtual S signal with analog style filters using Brainworx legendary M/S stereo algorithms. This plugin will take any mono signal and make it stereo while allowing you to balance the center position. You can even focus the process on specific frequency ranges in your signal. And you can solo the virtual S signal!
Features
- Adjust the stereo-width added to the mono source signal from 0% to 300%
- Hi-Damp knob allows you to create a warm sounding stereo expansion without sounding tinny
- The plugin creates a virtual S channel (which you can solo)
- The results are spectacular, and your signal stays 100% mono-compatible!
